Collection/Processing Instructions
Protect from light.
Samples collected in a RTT or GTT must be removed from cells within one hour after collection for storage or transport.

Rejection Criteria
Samples not protected from light.
Significantly hemolyzed samples cannot be assayed for Direct Bilirubin
Drug Eltrombopag: interferes with the total bilirubin assays.
Interferences
Hemolysis will falsely decrease Direct Bilirubin.
