Collection/Processing Instructions
PST/SST gel barrier tubes should be centrifuged within 2 hours of collection.
RTT should be centrifuged and aliquoted within 2 hours of collection.

Test Information
For assessing inflammation – NOT coronary risk. For assessing coronary risk, order C-Reactive Protein, High Sensitivity. CSF is not an appropriate specimen, as this test is not sensitive enough to concentrations of CRP found in CSF (approx. 10-fold lower than serum concentrations).
