Test Components
This rapid urine drug screen includes the following: Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Buprenorphine, Cannabinoids, Cocaine Metabolite, Methadone, Methamphetamine, Opiates, Oxycodone, Phencyclidine, and Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCAs).
Test Information
Positives are not confirmed by an alternate method. This rapid urine drug screen should be ordered only when a rapid result is required to make decisions affecting patient care. In all other cases, order both TDPU (Targeted Drug Panel, Urine) and PCS4WO (Pain Clinic Survey 4 Without Confirmation, Urine). The remaining specimen will be stored in the laboratory for one week. If add-on requested, call specimen processing (ext 1-6220).
Drug classes giving a "Positive" result can be confirmed by ordering the drug class confirmation tests separately, if desired.
Note: TCAs, and PCP are not confirmed in-house, but are sent to Mayo Medical Laboratories for confirmation.
