Collection/Processing Instructions
Test panel includes bilirubin which is light sensitive; minimize light exposure during storage/transport.
Samples collected in a RTT or GTT must be removed from cells within one hour for storage or transport.
Samples collected in gel barrier tubes must be removed from the primary tube prior to transporting to Marshfield. Do not send the primary collection tube.

Rejection Criteria
| Grossly hemolyzed samples |
| Drug Eltrombopag: interferes with the total bilirubin assays. |

Albumin, Alkaline Phosphatase, Alanine Amino Transferase, Aspartate Amino Transferase, Conjugated Bilirubin, Total Bilirubin, and Total Protein
Interferences
Hemolyzed samples will falsely increase AST
Exposure to light will falsely decrease TBIL
