Collection/Processing Instructions
Do not use a needle smaller than a 21 gauge for collection. Obtain appropriate volume of blood in first tube labeled DISCARD. Obtain same volume for the next two sample specimens and immediately gently invert tubes 5 times to mix anticoagulant with the blood. Do not refrigerate, freeze, or centrifuge sample specimen.

Interferences
Test should not be performed on patients that have received IIbIIIa inhibitors such as Integrilin or Aggrastat within 48 hour or Reo Pro within 14 days as these drugs will interfere with the test.
Interpretations
Effective August 28, 2012, percent inhibition parameter will not be available due to changes made by Accumetrics.
