This test code has been retired and is no longer orderable. If a request for Protein electrophoresis (PEP), Serum is received as a MISC, the appropriate test to order is Protein-Immunotyping (PEP, GAM, IT) Panel (IEPIT).  This panel includes Protein Electrophoresis (Total Protein, Albumin, Alpha-1, Alpha-2, Beta and Gamma Globulins), quantitation of Immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA and IgM) and Immunotyping, if required.
