Collection/Processing Instructions
- Samples collected in non-gel tubes must be centrifuged, plasma/serum removed, and aliquoted from cells within one hour.
- Samples collected in gel tubes should be centrifuged within one hour of collection.
- Regional/outreach centers: Please separate plasma/serum from gel and/or cells and send in separate aliquot tube.

Rejection Criteria
Grossly hemolyzed samples
Sample not centrifuged and removed from cells within 2 hours
Test Components
Albumin, Bicarbonate, Urea Nitrogen, Calcium, Chloride, Creatinine, Glucose, Potassium, Sodium, Phosphorus, Anion Gap, and Estimated glomerular filtration rate
Interferences
Hemolyzed samples will falsely increase Potassium.
